As is Stanley Druckenmiller, Ray Dalio, etc.
The only top investors who aren’t are Buffet and Soros. One is 100 years old, and the other has….let’s say a strong interest not to be on our side.
History is going to be on our side.
These people didn’t get rich because they didn’t know where the puck was going.
Paul Tudor Jones was on CNBC this week as he got interviewed on my least favorite financial talk show of all time, “Squawk Box”.
You have three hosts on this show. Becky Quick, who is the most rational of the three, but deeply in bed with the elites, and it becomes obvious depending on the topic.
Andrew Ross Sorkin is worse. Just go watch his interview with SBF. Somebody definitely told him to go really really easy on him and make SBF look like the victim, and ARS complied like he always does.
And Joe Kernan officially lives on the moon. He’s added nothing to the network for almost 20 years now. I can’t stand to hear him talk.
I’m surprised they even let Jones talk at all without interrupting him at every turn. They did try to divert him when he started getting too doomer, but he mostly ignored them.
Jones holds gold and BTC by the way.
Here’s the interview with a bit of commentary from me below it.
- Yes Joe, black swans are common now. Go back to sleep.
- Bonds are soooo screwed. Anyone know what a bond crisis looks like?
- It was Trump and Biden’s fault, absolutely. Or Trump and whoever controls Biden of course.
- There are no current US presidential candidates who have outlined how to attack this. Ron Paul aint walkin through that door.
- Taxes ARE going to have to go up in the US, and likely most G20 nations. Are you ready for this? Are you offshore? No? Have fun!
- Jones says recession in Q1 2024. Let’s see if he nails it.
I wish the interview didn’t get cut off at the end, although CNBC interviews at most are 7-8 minutes long so maybe that was it.
You still have time to prepare. I’ll be there to inform as best I can, but a real sea change is coming.
People who don’t take action, people who have gotten fat and comfortable, are going to feel it the worst.
